  1. Enigmatic Says:

hmm, all mysteries revealed, no? :D
try not using those chin-lines btw. Not everything that is realistic looks good in drawing

  2. Echo Says:

Somehow I don’t see her being able to call back any time soon.

  3. Kugai Says:

The question is, did they come on their own

Or did her mother call them in?

  4. seanmm Says:

well considering her look in the last panel I don’t thing her mother called them.

  5. Jamie Jeans Says:

Ohhh damn, things are about to get bad.

Very bad. As in, the Authorities from Firefly BAD.

Good to see that Quetz actually has a conscience.

  6. Snowfire Says:

It’d personally say it’s not quite that bad considering the Authorities from Firefly generally knock you out and then question you at a secure location *cough*torture facility*cough*. So yeah, not quite that bad yet…but we’re getting there.

When ONI ‘visit’ the other side of the equation, THEN we’re in trouble.

  7. Derek Tomes Says:

Looks like the authorities ate about to make the fundamental plot mistake of not letting sleeping dogs lie…

  8. Andor Says:

The chin lines might be deliberate…there was mention of Quetz kind of letting herself go. On the Outcast, she was active, proud, she trained…even led a physical fitness program for the other girls. Back home, she sits around feeling sorry for herself, playing online games all day. She might’ve puffed up a bit, which could explain the chin/jowels.

Anyone notice that any time someone shows up with “a few questions”, they have a nasty smile on their face? The kind of smile that says, “I’m going to get my rocks off by REALLY messing you up!” 0.o

  9. JediBubbles Says:

Okay, this is definitely not quite two-by-two-hands-of-blue bad (as no one’s bleeding out the ears), but I’m definitely getting a “…if you’re unable to…speak?” Agent Smith vibe from that agents’ shit-eating grin. @_@; Kid and Whiskey might have to rescue Quetz first.

Or maybe Bubblegum will! Then it’d truly be what’s left of the gang! :D

  10. seanmm Says:

I agree things may become very bad unless bubblegum is really behind this and these is a ploy of somesort ether way it will be interesting.

  11. Fred Says:

It’s raining inside the compound, but sunny outside. Sunny enough to wear shades.

Is that a continuity problem here?

  12. KEM Says:

The shades are part of the uniform.

As for who called the goon squad, I kinda get a “see, I told you so” kind of vibe from the look of Quetz’s mom. That doesn’t mean she did call them, but then she doesn’t seem to be one for idle threats either.

If this is based on the conversation in the game, then it would be more appropriate to go to see Whiskey and Kid since they seemed to know more about what was going on than Quetz. Ergo I suspect this has more to do with Quetz’s conversation with her mom.

  13. Enigmatic Says:

‘Don’t tell me you’ll wear those shades during a night operation’
    ‘My vision is augmented’

Not sure if anyone actually recognizes that quote but it fits like a glove :D
And, well, intuitively speaking, Quetz is deeper in the shit than Kid or Whiskey. With the hacking and all.
