We’re Back!

January 1st, 2010

Happy New Year and welcome to the launch of Angels 2200 Part 2: Homefront!

It’s been good to have a break away from the strip, but it’s also good to be back. I’d also like to introduce and thank Jana Hoffmann who has illustrated the first 5 strips and will continue to collaborate with me on many strips through the comics run.

For the foreseeable future, Angels will only update once per week, on Fridays. I realise this will be a disappointment to some, but between us me and Jana have prepared nearly a years worth of backlog, at a rate of once a week. I realise that one of the biggest frustrations for both you as the audience and myself as the writer/artist was the irregular update schedule that plagued the end of the last comic towards its finale, so I would rather be able to guarantee at least a year of regular strips once a week than try to deliver two and fail.

So once again, welcome to the new story, one that will take the Icebreakers to some very unusual and challenging places, both physically and mentally. It’s been a lot of fun to come up with the story, I hope you have as much fun reading it.

    YAY! Happy new year!

Very nice to finally see this story unfold once again!

    Thank you very much!

Welcome back, Peter, and happy new year. What a nice start to the new year :-)

Um… a couple of nitpicks: it’s “martial law” with a “t”, and a “long *and* costly” war.

I think the once a week update schedule could be a good idea, but the most important factor here is how fast your story unfolds. A year from now, it *would* be good if you were quite a bit into the action. Well, either way I’m here for the ride :-)

Good luck, and welcome back again.

    welcome back!

I’m glad you’re updating again. And it’s better to update on a schedule you can keep than try to keep a schedule that ends with multiple missed updates. (Though I must applaud you. A one-year buffer? Even on a weekly schedule, a 52 comic buffer ain’t nothing to sneeze at. ^^ Well done!)

It’s so good to see Angels 2200 back in action! Once a week is a perfectly acceptable update schedule, especially if you can pair it up with consistency :)
    Welcome back!

I’ve been missing your Angels. For this otherwise drab new year’s day, it’s great to see them (and you) back! Thanks for your dedication to this inspiring comic.

    Woo! Welcome back.

    I remember once a week – it’s excruciating.

But much better than once a month.

    Nice to see you back!

Do you actually think that was the simplest way to make your point?
