Angels Update

As many of you have picked up, the saga of ‘Angels’ is winding up after many years of (sometimes intermittant) updating. In fact, after this update, theres only three comics left. Some of you have expressed some concern about how the story is ending, but I’d like to assure you that this is ‘not’ the end.
It was a little while ago now, so I expect that some have forgotten and some never heard, but the ‘Angels’ story will continue. I have already started work on ‘Angels2200: Part 2′, and I’m quite excited about the direction the story will go in. It will have a different feel and setting (or settings)to the original strip, there will be some new characters, but rest assured, I intend to wrap everything up…this is not ‘Lost’ or ‘The X files’. There is an ending, the characters will have resolution and (I’m pretty sure) it will all make sense.
I’m also hoping to make the new story tighter. ‘Angels’ was kind of a flow of conciousness piece at times, and with this new comic I’d like to take the chance to lock it down a lot more.
So, I guess I’m asking you to trust me…this is an ending in a sense, but its the bittersweet ‘Empire Strikes Back’ ending. And don’t worry, that doesn’t mean that the next installment will be packed with Muppets and Ewoks.

I was starting to wonder how the comic could possibly continue with the squad being broken up and all… Here is to hoping for a great part 2 that ties up all of part 1′s loose ends.

Will there still be a fancy version done by the fellows at Alpha-Shade? They don’t update their own comic any more, I assume they are too busy with work. This is probably already answered in some obvious location I am not aware of, sorry if so.

Wow, I knew it was winding down, but didn’t think it would be so quick. Here’s hoping the next part is just as entertaining and more regular in its update schedule! XD
(seriously though, you should take a hiatus, announce the start date for part 2 as being in March 2010 or something, and draw a whole ton of comics in the interim so you have a good solid backlog).

Ooooh! SO looking forward to it! It’s an amazing comic – one that I’ve checked every day hoping for an update for a few years now. It would be great if the updates could be more regular – if even once a week or something – but it’s understandable that they’re not. It’s how life is.
