If this is exceeding expectations, just what DID they expect? That they’d all turn traitor and open fire on the Outcast on their first mission?

Well, the captain expected them all to die. she was against going out into space with this crew in the first place, because they were all inexperienced. She’s surprised that they pulled it together as much as they did.

I would be less than surprised if these three go out to independently set things right… and I would not put it past the captain to have considered this.

Umm… Methinks everyone is forgetting that Hammer is still on the enemy ship. And three days is more than enough time to mount a rescue mission. (Assuming that the Captain is going to share that little tidbit…)
