And here where BG though she had an ace up her sleeve it turned out to be a joker (joker as a Joker, not joker as a value of the card). BG is SO going down and it’s gonna be hard…
Why I’m seeing a meeting of “dirty dozen” here ?

Well, I was completely off. Does A1 sauce go well with foot?

Wrong answer Bubblegum.

I really like expression on face of BG in 5-th panel. It says:” I’m bad. Do something about it… B*tch !”
I won’t be surprised if we will see a body of Toat floating in the space in the next scene. I really hope for this one.

I kinda doubt Capt. Robin has Roslin syndrome (got a problem? Throw it out the airlock. Vote Roslin/airlock in the next election, if she doesn’t die from cancer first) but Toat may be that dangerous. Then again, stripped of most of her cybernetics, she might be safe to interrogate for information.

I’m not so sure how effective it would be to strip her of her cybernetics. If, it’s hardwired into her biological system, then removal could mean death. And having her trussed up, might not stop her from being able to hack into the ship’s computers remotely.
Provided of course, her implants allow for such a thing. Then again, I would definitely expect it from a spook of her level. It’s essentially the same technology, which allows folks to tap into another person’s wireless network. It would require going into the central computer by way of the communication system, but with sufficient ICE breaking tools at her disposal, it shouldn’t present that much of a problem. Especially, not when you consider the age of the ship.
Provided you weren’t going for an extract intel approach with her, which considering her training is going to be extremely difficult at best. I mean, if they couldn’t break the enemy pilot, then breaking Toat is a pipe dream really. Well, spacing her would probably be the most prudent course of action.
Simply a matter of falsifying reports, that she was severely injured in the combat situation (exploding plasma conduit to borrow a common Trek accident) with the Colony vessel and that she died from her injuries and was given a burial in space with full military honors.
No body, no evidence of any wrongdoings. Most of the crew would back the captain up anyway. That just leaves Bubblegum as the sole dangling string, who just doesn’t want to play ball.

Yeah, it leaves just bubblegum… and… y’know, probably all of icebreaker squad?
Because no doubt they would support the captain, but if it meant burning BG? I kinda doubt it.
Come to think of it. BG didn’t ACTUALLY commit treason did she? She was following Toat’s orders who did, I believe, have the authority to countermand the captain on this.
Soooooo, let’s be hearing this forseti information already.

That’s the tricky bit, in times of war the Captain’s word is pretty much Holy Writ, irrespective of the rank of the other person. In theory, a 2nd Lt. could order an Admiral around on the 2nd Lt’s ship, course there would be repercussions for such actions, once they got back to base, but that’s another order of business.
The Captain gave BG strict orders, and let’s face it, BG didn’t spill the beans, because she was ordered to talk, but because she wanted to talk. Because Toat was offering her what she wanted most.
Hence, why she’s so angry now + defiant. That’s the guilt part eating away at her.
By doing what she did, she put her squadron at risk, as well as the entire carrier.
Toat’s little gambit, right in the middle of an ongoing battle, it could’ve cost everyone their lives. Course BG doesn’t know that Toat did this, then again, it’s unlikely that Toat would’ve done so, if BG hadn’t talked. That’s most likely the reasoning that the Captain is following.
And after the trust she placed in BG, well, that means the chances of her going easy on BG are not that great. As for the rest of the Icebreakers, it rather depends, normally they might be hesitant, but if they were to be led to believe that BG sold them out as well. And that’s not that hard to do, considering what she just said (She’s a member of the O.S.I. now, thus no longer an Icebreaker. She’s the one who turned her back on them).. Combine that with the possible loss of Loser, as well as the Captain being able to dangle Hammer’s location over them.
Who to pick, the “former” squadmate who sold you out and abandoned you in the middle of a firefight, or the one who tried to sacrifice her life for you, and who may very well be in danger of (continued) sexual abuse/rape at the hands of her captor.

Also, I kinda doubt there would be a wireless network on a military vessel that wasn’t purely for external communications or research. By it’s very nature, it’s easy to interfere with, intercept, and the only possible benefit would be if you had metal penetrating wireless so that if the physical walls were damaged (damaging the hard network connections) you could still get through to those in the damaged area for communications. So yeah, i can only see it as backup communications and not connected to the data network. Am I delusional? Lemmie just salt and pepper my foot just in case…

Oh, Bubblegum. So totally going, “Mommy, you can’t hurt me. I know the number to CPS. ”
Which hopefully soon will be followed with: “What’s that? They say you CAN bitchslap me into next week because I torched the family car and tried to poison you in your bed because my big bad boyfriend told me to? OH NOES!”
